Texas metal mainstays Shattered Sun positively kicked ass on the first leg of their tour with headliners Soulfly and direct support Soilwork.
In celebration of the tour kick-off, Shattered Sun is premiering a brand new music video for their track „Waging War.“ Better pull your seatbelt tighter before you listen to that one.
Vocalist Marcos Leal explains the concept behind „Waging War“: „It’s very simple – open your eyes to what’s going on around you! The media wants to spin things to brainwash you… for you to say “there nothing I can do about it“ or „I’m only one person“… that’s exactly what they want, to strip you of your will to believe! Open your eyes and see the war right in front of your face!“
In regards to the video itself, Leal adds: „We have done a lot of touring this year. So when it came down to what we wanted to portray in the video, we wanted to invite the viewer into the heart of a Shattered Circle Pit, right in the middle of all the chaos, to show them exactly who we are. We’re taking you inside the machine that is Shattered Sun.“
The „Waging War“ video was directed and filmed by Victory Records and Steven Garcia, and features a collection of footage from the „Dark Roots of Thrash II“ tour, this past summer’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, the band’s recent hometown show in Corpus Christi, TX, and the recent first leg of the „We Sold Our Souls To Metal“ tour.
